Q: Are your pictures real antiques?
A:

We receive this question often, and it is always taken as a great compliment! We typically receive this inquiry from professional retailers and antique dealers who visit our showroom at the International Furniture Market in High Point, North Carolina.
Of course, upon closer examination, antique dealers can tell the difference between our exquisite, reproduction, antiqued framed prints and the genuine article. However, it often takes a good eye and close examination to actually determine a piece’s genuine authenticity.

Connoisseurs of antique art will tell you that the true value of an antique is not in the age of the item, but in its aesthetic and timeless beauty. For almost 50 years, the H. Hal Kramer Co. has recognized the traditional beauty of antique art. However, at the same time, Hal knows that not everyone is disposed to pay the “age premium” that is associated with a piece of fine, antique art. That is what makes Hal the true master in the art of reproduction, antique wall décor. It is his ability to capture the essence of the past, with the materials of today.

We can’t tell you how many times a year we receive telephone calls from individuals across the country, who believe they have discovered a “Stradivarius” in the form of an H. Hal Kramer Co. antiqued picture that they have found in the attic of their own home, or that of a dear, departed relative. We always take great pride and satisfaction in being able to create a mate or complimentary piece of art to match these customers’ special finds.

Q: Who are your retail customers?
A:

Our high-end, retail customers include many of the finest department and furniture stores, as well as a multitude of leading, professional, interior decorators and designers from around the world. They have been the reason for our success and longevity. However, as a courtesy to our private label buyers, we do not disclose this information.

Gift Wrap

Q: Do you gift wrap?
A:

No, we’re sorry, we do not gift wrap. However, if you wish, we will be happy to include a beautiful, hand-written note on heirloom stationery, with your own personal message, at no additional charge. Just tell us what to say!

Shipping

Q: Do you charge for shipping?
A:

Yes, we charge a nominal, competitive price to cover our shipping costs, as our handmade, framed pictures (especially those with glass) require a great deal of TLC.

Changing Frames or Mats

Q: May I change a frame style?
A:

Most times the answer is “yes.” Just let us know what you have in mind, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Q: May I change a mat?
A:

Sometimes we can accommodate this request. It depends on several factors. So you will need to ask at the time you place your order.

Q: Can I change the French marble or hand water color?
A:

Absolutely! We hand-line our mats with our own beautiful, French marble book paper; and we have years of experience hand-mixing our own antiqued water colors.
